AIGA "GET OUT THE VOTE" CAMPAIGN

AIGA "GET OUT THE VOTE" CAMPAIGN

Designed for AIGA's 2024 Get Out the Vote campaign, this nonpartisan poster inspires civic engagement with bold visuals and a clear call to action. Created to encourage voter registration and turnout, it embodies the spirit of Design for Democracy: making choices clear and accessible for all.

The bright, light blue and deep red color palette of this poster reflects the campaign's purpose by symbolizing unity and civic responsibility. The strong contrast between the colors and the textures draw attention to the message, inspiring action while ensuring the design remains clear, impactful, and accessible.

The inspiration behind the 3D "VOTE" letters came from designer and animator Marcos Silva, whose bold and dimensional typography inspired me to explore new creative directions. I aimed to elevate the design by integrating textures that reflect the world around us: sturdy brick for strength and foundation, an open sky with clouds for hope and possibility, a soft white sweater for warmth and comfort, and classic denim for resilience and unity. Together, these textures symbolize the diverse elements of everyday life, reminding us that every voice contributes to building a stronger, more connected future through voting.

For the typography of this poster, Futura Bold delivers a modern and impactful message, as the bold weight adds strength and emphasis to the call to action.
